Disability Employment Awareness Month -
Tell Your Story Contest
Every October is Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM), which recognizes the contributions of people with disabilities to America’s workforce and economy. DEAM is an excellent time to celebrate students with disabilities and learn more about how individuals from this highly talented group can continue to strive for successful employment and enhance Florida’s future workforce at all levels.
As we look ahead to October, we want to hear from you! If you are a student with a disability, a parent or guardian of a child with a disability, or an adult Vocational Rehabilitation client, click the appropriate link below and fill out a short form to tell us about your education and employment experiences. Your stories will help us to raise awareness throughout DEAM 2024–and the winner of a $50 digital gift card will be chosen by random drawing from all eligible entries in each category.
Entries must be submitted no later than Tuesday, October 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. No entries received after that time will be eligible for the prize drawings. We look forward to reading your story!
The DEAM Tell Your Story Contest is now closed. Stay tuned to our social media channels for a video announcing the winners in each category!
NOTICE TO ENTRANTS: The Able Trust may feature submitted stories on our website, social media channels, printed materials and more. Contest participants understand and acknowledge that by participating, they grant their consent to share their names, likenesses, and stories. We will never share personal contact information with anyone outside The Able Trust organization.
