The Community Liaison Toolkit has been completely updated for this year. It contains:

  • Forming and utilizing a local planning committee
  • Creating a budget and where to find funding
  • Recruiting businesses and ensuring expectations are met
  • Event planning guide
  • Template press releases
  • “DEAM relationships result in exposure to career choices, and possibly internships or employment. As long as there is DEAM, participating businesses will also benefit by gaining disability awareness.” Jacksonville Area DEAM Community Liaison April Baker

“I believe that at several businesses, fears were alleviated…fears employers typically have about hiring people with disabilities. That alone will help future applicants with disabilities get their foot in the door.” –Gainesville Area DEAM Liaison Jennifer Valenzuela
